The Full Statement of Faith of Fountain of Life Word Ministries
The Statement of Faith of Fountain of Life Word Ministries in Rock Hill, SC, reflects the foundational truths that guide our lives. These truths shape our worship, our mission, our daily walk with Christ, and our Spirit-filled community rooted in the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible Is God’s Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It reveals His will and guides our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:21)
One God in Three Persons
We worship one God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—eternally existing as one. (Matthew 28:19 and 1 John 5:7)
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and reigns forever. (John 1:1–3 and Ephesians 1:7)
The Fall of Man
We are created in God’s image but separated by sin. Only through Jesus can we be restored. (Romans 3:23)
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
Salvation is a gift from God and is received by faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by works. (Romans 3:28, Romans 6:23, and Ephesians 2:8)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues and other gifts of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:4 and Acts 19:6)
Spiritual Gifts Today
God gives Spiritual Gifts to the church for edification and empowerment to reach souls for Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:7 and 1 Corinthians 14:1)
A Life of Holiness
Believers are to pursue a life that is set apart for God, growing in character, purity, and love through the work of the Spirit of God. (1 Peter 1:6 and Hebrews 12:14)
The Church and the Body of Christ
The church is the body of the Lord Jesus Christ and should work for unity of faith. (Romans 12:4–5, 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, and Ephesians 4:7)
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing as part of Christ’s atonement, available through prayer and faith. (Isaiah 53:1–5, 1 Peter 2:24, and James 5:13–15)
The Rapture of the Church
We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus to take away his church with the resurrection of the dead and the translation of the living to be his bride. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 and 1 Corinthians 15)
